The CLINICAL HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM has new permanent opportunities for Psychological Assistants in our Child and Adolescent Service:

  • SSCY (Specialized Services for Children and Youth) – FASD Clinic
  • Health Sciences Centre – Child & Adolescent Consult Service

Time commitments and scheduling are flexible; the position can range from .4 FTE up to full time, and may be located at one or both of the above sites.

As a valued member of the team, the Psychological Assistant’s role is predominantly assessment, involving administration and scoring of standardized cognitive and neuropsychological tests. The Psychological Assistant will work with varied clinical populations of children, including those with developmental disorders, brain injury, and brain disease. Clinical interviewing and report preparation may also be involved, depending on the experience of the candidate. A Master’s degree in Psychology with related clinical experience working with children and adolescents is required.

The position reports to Clinical Health Psychology’s Director, Child and Adolescent Service, and to the WRHA CHP Program Medical Director. Salary is based on the WRHA Psychological Assistant scale, and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
