Block Building Therapies is pleased to share that we have now launched our Driver Anxiety Program (DAP) for Manitobans who are struggling to resume their driving duties as it relates to self-care activities, community management or employment. Our program utilizes a qualified Occupational Therapist and registered Driver Instructor to work alongside our anxious drivers. Our team also works very closely with treating psychologists, social workers/counsellors, as well as other Occupational Therapists, to ensure all client needs are being addressed. Through the Driver Anxiety Program, we provide functional driving evaluations, which include both an in-clinic assessment and on-road evaluation, in order to assess an individual’s abilities and functional limitations as they relate to mental health diagnoses. Under the supervision of the treating occupational therapist, customized treatment programs are developed with adapted driving lessons to meet client specific needs. The goal of our program is to improve driver confidence through learned anxiety management strategies in order to return the client to functional driving.

Please see the attached brochure for more information about our Driving Anxiety Program, including the eligibility criteria, as well as the assessment and treatment program.

We look forward to working with you to support Manitobans to return to successful driving.
