MPS represents the practice of Psychology throughout the province of Manitoba. We acknowledge that we live, work, and learn on traditional Indigenous lands of the Anishinaabeg, Anish-Ininiwak, Dakota, Dene, Ininiwak and Nehethowuk, and the homeland of the Red River Métis Nation.

MPS acknowledges the history of colonization, land displacement, and other harms of the past and present, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration. We are committed to gaining cultural literacy, engaging in antiracist psychological practice, and advocating for awareness and cultural responsiveness to Indigenous issues in Manitoba and across Canada.

The Manitoba Psychological Society is committed to decolonization and reconciliation and we demonstrate that work with our society’s action steps towards inclusivity and reconciliation.
