Position Title: Psychologist
Dr. Michael Ellery & Associates is looking for another psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team of therapists located in a charming character building in Winnipeg’s vibrant West Broadway neighbourhood. More information about the practice may be found at http://www.drellery.com.
We are a dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) team. Consequently, we meet regularly for team consultation, supervision, and training, which plays a big role in the high levels of morale and esprit de corps that we enjoy in our practice. We are looking for another psychologist to join our DBT team and share in this collegial and supportive work environment. While DBT is not all we offer in our practice, and previous experience with DBT is not necessary to join our team, a desire to learn and become an adherent DBT practitioner is essential.
The successful applicant may join our team as a clinical associate or as an independently practicing psychologist. Hours are flexible, though regular attendance at consultation team meetings will be expected. To minimize administrative burden, and permit more focus on service delivery, the practice can provide referrals, administrative support, consultation, supervision (if needed), and beautiful, well-lit office space in which to see clients. Referrals can be made in line with the psychologist’s interests, and may include adult clients seeking psychological assessment or help with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, life stressors, or grief.
Other professional activities in the practice have included conducting group therapies, such as DBT skills groups for clients, delivering training for other clinicians, and supervising clinical psychology PhD student practicum experiences. Similar opportunities may be available to an interested psychologist who joins our team. The successful applicant will provide occasional supervision coverage of clinical associates.
Interested applicants are invited to submit CV and cover letter by email to DrElleryOffice@gmail.com. Applicants should include contact information for three references who can provide informed opinions about their clinical competencies. Psychologists with experience delivering dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) are particularly encouraged to apply.
Thanks in advance for your interest. Only those applicants who are selected for an interview will be contacted.
