Wanted: Child Psychologist/Family

Therapist to be a part of the Birch Wellness Center, an established collaborative private practice located in downtown Winnipeg. The Birch Wellness Center is comprised of a comprehensive team of highly respected professionals with extensive expertise in clinical psychology, psychotherapy, clinical social work, psychiatric nursing, marriage and family therapy, physiotherapy, osteopathy and massage therapy.

We are looking for an individual who has expertise and training in working with children and families in a variety of settings. A graduate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Social Work and/or Marriage and Family Therapy is preferred.

Located in a turn-of-the-century heritage house in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. This area is considered prime business property due to its proximity to Portage Avenue and Main Street, as well as numerous city landmarks such as Osborne Village, the Broadway-Assiniboine District, the Legislative Building, the Exchange District, the Hotel Fort Garry, and The Forks. It is also close to several main bus routes. There is plenty of parking on the street in front of the building and designated parking spots at the rear of the building for associates.

Thirteen rooms in the house are usable as office spaces, ranging in size from 110 – 330 square feet. There is plenty of storage space and an additional room in the basement that can be used as communal space. There is also a boardroom on the main floor. On the second floor, there is an additional waiting area, allowing clients comfort and privacy while they wait for their appointments.

Members of the Birch Wellness Center will benefit from working at a professional center where all of their functional needs are met, allowing them to focus solely on their practices. The center will provide the following services as part of the lease agreement:

  • Unfurnished office space
  • Reception, clerical and accounting/billing service
  • Point-of-sale service (Visa, MasterCard and Interac)
  • Shared waiting area
  • Phone, wireless internet, fax, photocopying, email, group website, shredding and mail service
  • Office cleaning
  • Coffee, tea and other kitchen amenities
  • Heat and hydro
  • Designated parking space at additional cost
