Clinic Psychology Manitoba is a well-established group practice of clinical psychologists and other mental health providers, dedicated to work with clients in improving their mental health. We specialize in evidence-based treatment strategies that primarily include cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.

Located in the Western Surgical Center, one of Winnipeg’s most renowned and reputable healthcare complexes, home to several physician and specialist offices, Clinic Psychology Manitoba offers practitioners the opportunity to practice out of one of the newest and most well-designed clinics. Boasting floor to ceiling windows in each office, as well as amazing views from the top floor, and interior design that creates a warm and welcoming environment.  The central location of the clinic, on Sterling Lyon Parkway, caters to the convenience of a large portion of the city, creating a tremendous amount of convenience for clients and practitioners.

Job Description

We have the opportunity to welcome another psychologist or mental health care provider on our team to develop their own practice. We have an active and strong referral base of clients ranging in age, culture, gender and profession which allows interested psychologists an opportunity to build out a healthy and thriving practice in areas of their interest and focus.

Clinic Psychology Manitoba also has developed its own Public Mental Health Initiative (PMHI) and has engaged in research and practice on bias, which could be additional opportunities of interest should clinicians be interested in pursuing similar areas of work in addition to a regular practice of clinical work.

Typical duties would include the following but could be flexible depending on areas of expertise and focus of practice.

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments, including psychometric testing
  • Interpret test results and diagnose a variety of present (or potential) mental, behavioural, and emotional disorders
  • Plan therapeutic intervention programs and work with patients to plan a program of treatment
  • Provide continued support to clients, monitor progress, and adjust care plans accordingly
  • Consult with and advise mental health and addiction services and agencies
  • Provide therapeutic and supportive guidance during or following crises
  • Develop and implement psychology programs within the wider community
  • Support and coach post-graduate psychology students in educational settings

Qualifications

  • Ph.D or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, registered or soon to be registered for independent practice with the Psychological Association of Manitoba
  • We are also open to having a master’s level social worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist join our practice.
