Position Overview
Calian is proud to offer psychological assessment services to our public and private sector clients across Canada. We are currently seeking Clinical Psychologists in Manitoba, particularly in the Winnipeg area, to join our dynamic team!
Our clients, who operate in high-risk environments, rely on Calian’s network of Psychologists to ensure their applicants are fit for the job.
Join a nationwide team of Clinical Psychologists providing essential psychological assessments for Correctional Service Canada (CSC), ensuring our federal facilities are staffed with fully assessed officers ready to perform their duties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one interviews with candidates who have completed written personality assessments administered by Calian.
- Complete a template with your findings post-interview, with support from our experienced Senior Consulting Psychologist.
- Perform the second part of a two-part assessment, including formal testing (MMPI-3 and 16PF) followed by a structured clinical interview.
- Review and interpret test results, conduct follow-up clinical interviews, and determine if candidates meet CSC requirements.
- Provide feedback on individual assessment results to candidates and defend psychological evaluations when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience providing assessments for public entities in the last 10 years.
- Completed approximately 50 assessments for psychological readiness of candidates in the last 10 years.
- Ph.D. or Psy.D in Psychology.
- Fully licensed for autonomous practice as a Psychologist in Manitoba.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to conduct interviews in-person in a private office and/or virtually.
Additional Information
- Casual contract with a flexible schedule based on client needs and Psychologist availability.
- Assessments can be conducted virtually or in person.
- Work can be done on weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends.
- Proposed rate: $210-225/hr.
