Neurodiversity-Informed and Adult ADHD Occupational Therapy

The following is an advertisement. The Manitoba Psychological Society does not necessarily endorse any service or educational opportunity advertised.

At Block Building Therapies, we believe that being neurodivergent is not a barrier to success but a different path toward it. Our occupational therapy program honors individuals with a neurodivergent diagnosis such as ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder, while offering the tools and scaffolding to clients in order for them to reach their needs and goals. We understand that ADHD is just one of the many ways brains can work differently. Instead of trying to “fix” the brain, our approach embraces neurodiversity—the idea that neurological differences like ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and others are natural variations of the human experience.

Our Neurodiversity-Informed OT Program provides adults with ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence the tools, strategies, and support they need to thrive at work, home, and in daily life.

What Makes Our Approach Different?

✅ Strengths-Based
We focus on what works for our clients, not just what feels hard.

✅ Collaborative & Respectful
Our clients are the expert and we work alongside them to co-create strategies.

✅ Practical & Flexible
Tailored strategies that fit real-life environments.

✅ Affirming of Neurodiversity
We don’t see ADHD or other differences as deficits, but as unique ways of experiencing the world.

Our Support May Include:

  • Executive functioning skill development (planning, time management, organization)
  • Strategies for focus and energy regulation
  • Building self-advocacy skills at work, school, and in relationships
  • Tools for sensory regulation and daily routines
  • Strengthening emotional resilience and social skills
  • Creating supportive environments in the workplace
  • Assisting with achievable return to work plans.

We are currently accepting new referrals for our Neurodiversity Informed and Adult ADHD OT program. Please see the below brochure for further information or visit our website at www.blockbuilding.ca
