Treatment & Recovery: An EHN Canada Alumni Panel Discussion

With John Hastings
National Director of Alumni Relations and Development, EHN Canada

and

Alanna Stern
Alumni Ambassador, EHN Canada

In celebration of International Recovery Day, we are honoured to feature a panel featuring two members of the alumni community from the EHN Canada network. They will be speaking to the treatment process, life after treatment, and the rollercoaster that is living in recovery. These panelists will provide insight to the real-life struggles of starting fresh and navigating a life in recovery. Their discussion will highlight how community is essential for maintaining and enjoying sobriety, avoiding feelings of isolation, rediscovering self, and connecting with others who understand what you’re experiencing. The end of a treatment program is just the beginning of a lifelong recovery journey. Both John and Alanna are alumni of EHN Canada and are doing their part to give back by dedicating their professional lives to the alumni network at EHN Canada. Join us Thursday, September 22 between 12-1pm EST for this lively and insightful panel discussion outlining the good, the bad and the ugly about mental health and addictions treatment.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Understanding that living in recovery is in fact a rollercoaster
  • The importance of creating a community while in treatment that goes far beyond the facility
  • Explore the opportunities that are available to those wanting to give back to their Recovery Community
  • Discuss mental health and addiction programming and the direct impact it may have on its patients

Date: September 22, 2022 – 12pm ET, 9am PT

Duration: 1-hour (45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A)

Cost: COMPLIMENTARY
