Are you a passionate Psychologist looking for a career that truly makes a difference? Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) is seeking a Developmental Services Psychologist to deliver vital assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for Indigenous children and youth in Sioux Lookout and the 33 First Nation communities across the region.
This role offers the opportunity to create lasting change – helping children reach their full potential through specialized psychological and neuropsychological testing for autism, FASD, developmental disabilities and more.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and provide diagnoses for children and youth (0-18)
- Provide group and individualized treatment in collaboration with caregivers and community support
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and build community capacity
- Support program development and evaluation to strengthen mental health services

- Competitive salary: $134,485–$196,392,based on education and experience. As well as $6,000 annual travel stipend, comprehensive health benefits, pension plan, paid personal leave & wellness days
Qualifications:
- PhD in Psychology (or Psychological Associate with plan to obtain PsyD)
- Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists and Behavioral Analysts of Ontario
- Experience with psychoeducational and neuropsychological testing
- Minimum of one-year clinical experience in developmental disabilities and mental health
- Clinical experience with Indigenous children and youth is an asset
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Experience developing and evaluating mental health programs and working on interdisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of First Nations’ cultures, history and health priorities is an asset
